Hi,

I have created the .dat file from Matlab which got four columns arranged as X Y U V.. The vector display which I have got in Matlab and tecplot is completely different. Please help me to resolve this problem..

I have attached the image file vector field obtained from Matlab and Tecplot.

File Type: zip files-1.zip (159.1 KB, 3 views)

It looks like the order/wrapping of the points in the file looks incorrect. The X&Y values likely are not in the same order as the U&V values.

In tecplot the index/i&j numbering starts from the lower left corner whereas matlab I believe starts in the upper left corner.

I would also suggest defining I&J values (matrix dimensions) to define a 2D ordered zone.

Hopefully that give you an idea of what to look for to fix your output.
