Save a Layout

Set your settings they way you like them then save a Layout. Then when you want your settings again, you just open the Layout file that was created.

I use layouts for different graphical representations of the same dataset. That way, I don't have to recreate the same object every time or I can start back at a certain part.

Yes, I know your method, but you know that it is only useful for the same case with different data, but it cannot apply to the different model cases, do you know my meaning?

If your data is similar, same number of zones and variables you can give stylesheets a shot. Stylesheets store just the style of a frame not the entire workspace and can be used in many cases when working across dataset.

We are currently working on improving workflows like you are describing. If you would be interested in a 30 min phone call around this workflow we can give you additional direction and you can describe your workflow in more detail contact support@tecplot.com to setup a phone/video call.
