Streamtraces originating at one point only

Hi, I am trying to visualize the sreamlines in techplot. I watched few video tutorials and I exported the data from fluent solution to techplot. However, the streamlines are originating from a single point. The should be like the inlet velocity over the wing surface.

I need some help. Thank you.

Quickly it looks like that the vector variables are assigned to the grid variables rather than velocity components. To verify go to Plot> Vector in 2020R1 or Plot>Vector> Variables in previous releases and ensure that you have velocity variables assigned.

Hi Novedevon, Thank you for your reply. Yes I understand your point. I had tried both. First I selected velocity components, but when I am tracing streamlines, no lines are formed. The lines are forming only on selecting cordinates but wrong lines are forming. Can you please explain what may be the reason. Thank you.

Velocity values on the surface are likely 0 due to a no-slip condition if no lines are formed. In 2020R1 Tecplot added no-slip streamlines which get velocity from an adjacent volume zone, give downloading the new version a shot.

Thank you Novedevon, I will surely give it a try.
Another issue I am facing is about slices. When I am creating a slice (surface or volume), only a line is created. A whole surface slice is not forming. Can you please help in this regard. Thank you.

To give the correct answer here I think you should contact support at Tecplot.com because there could be many things causing this issue.
