Hi
I am trying to calculate the circulation at different spanwise sections on my wings. I have come up with the following method, but am unsure if it is correct. Could somebody kindly verify it or correct t? I create circular zones at different y/b locations. To create these zones, I have the max and min Z distance set to 0 to avoid cylinders. I have the j vars along the circumference. I assume this remains the same after I rotate my circular zone to the correct orientation. An example of the zones and the velocity magnitudes are in the attachment. The velocity data in these zones is interpolated by inverse-interpolation. I then use the integration of 'vecotr dotted with tangential', with velocity components and over the j line, to satisfy the equation of circulation=-line integral of velocity dot unit tangential. If there is an error, could somebody please let me know? I'll perform independency studies on the radius of the circle under consideration ,I just want to verify the method. |
