Hello everyone,

I am trying to generate my text using LaTeX Fonts in Tecplot. I have installed MiKTeX as a LaTeX engine. However, I got an error message as shown in the attached picture.

I would be very grateful If anyone could help me to solve this problem?

Best,
Islam

I too get the same error and haven't found a solution. I thought some changes might need to be to the config file but could not identify what to change.

I think in that way too, but I cannot figure out what I should modify in the 'tecplot_latex.mcr' file. Also, I have some doubts that may be I need to change something in the MiKTeX files itself.

I hope someone can help us!

Hi Islam Hashem and Adithya_11,

The MiKTeX engine requires the zhmetrics package so that will need also need to be installed. See the Tecplot User's Manual here for more information:

https://www.tecplot.com/documentation/

Here is the section in the UM that talks about that:
Quote:
The second requirement is to have the tecplot_latex.mcr file correctly configured in your installation directory. Each LaTeX engine will come configured with different ways to parse commands. Details of how to configure it can be found in the tecplot_latex.mcr file. The default settings have been tested with MiKTeX and TeXLive engines. If using the default install options for MiKTeX, the zhmetrics package will also need to be installed.
If you need further assistance, Tecplot support (support@tecplot.com) is a great option to get your questions answered!

Hi Brandon_CFD,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your help.

I installed the 'zhmetrics' package for MiKTeX as you suggested but unfortunately I got the same error message in Tecplot.
