The animation you are referencing is done with paraview. It is possible to get the results from Fluent to paraview and paraview is for free for any of three major OSs.

Have fun.

Li-Hsin,

You can make amazing animations with paraview and cool renderings with blender. Both are open source. Steady state simulation results are easy to export & visualize in paraview but transient results from fluent are difficult to open in paraview.

Best,
Rahul

Hi, i did a transient problem using fluent but i didn't save a case file. I have the data set only. Can I do simulation without a case file or will I have to run all the simulations again. Please help. I've done a lot of simulations. Doing those again is really almost impossible.

Here is link to a short video on Tecplot's web-site that shows the post-processing of transient Fluent files with Tecplot 360 EX: http://download.tecplot.com/videos/LoadingUnsteadyFluentAndControlingStyle.mp4 that be of value for the original question.

BTW ... more tutorials at this link: http://www.tecplot.com/learning/tecplot-360-ex-videos/ and if you want to try or download 360 EX go to this link: http://www.tecplot.com/my/free-trial-software/ .

Cheers,
Scott
