Hi,
I know that putting: functions { #includeFunc "wallShearStress" } Inside the controlDict file is enough to generate wallShearStress on the walls. This will give values on every single face on the wall. However, how do I get wallShearStress along a specific line on the wall? Can I specify the coordinates of the line? How about if I want to get the data for every single deltaT? (I want high frequency data) I don't care about high frequency field values. So, I will write them on relatively big intervals. Is it possible to do it in OpenFOAM? If so, how? I appreciate your response. Thank you. |

Also,
Is it possible to write the data to a single file, instead of creating separate folders and files for each deltaT? Can I extend this to writing the mean values, i.e., the data after the current iteration will be the mean between the previous iterations and the current iteration. And it goes on. This way, I don't have to worry about too many rows/columns in the output file, and the size of the file will remain the same. This might add some computational overhead, but that's okay. I appreciate your response. Thank you. |
