PostDoc Positions in Aeroacoustics and/or Turbulence Structures

Two positions are now available for postdocs to undertake research projects in aerodynamics/aero-
acoustics/flow control within Department of Aero & Astro, College of Engineering, Peking University, 
to start on Jan 1st 2019 or until the posts are filled.

The backgrounds of these projects are related to turbomachinery noise and aerodynamics with the 
aim of better understanding of the aerodynamics and aero-acoustics of rotating machinery. The 
successful applicants will have opportunities to work with industry partners and develop advanced 
prediction methods and/or flow and noise measurement & control techniques and methodologies in 
the wind tunnel/water tunnel at Peking University.   

We are looking for enthusiastic, outstanding and self-driven young researchers, for those who with 
experience in aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and control, such as numerical model of fluid flow 
(DES/LES background) and 2D/3D PIV and reconstruction, are especially welcome.

Peking University is one of the best universities in China and has been ranked consistently on top 30-
40 worldwide in the past years. The successful candidates will work with a group of highly motivated, 
first class research students in the areas of computational aeroacoustics and experimental flow 
control. The lab will provide decent research conditions, such as HPC, 1m wind tunnel and small 
water tunnel testing capabilities. 

The basic salary starts from 280k RMB per year plus medical coverage and other benefits. In 
particular, the university would offer kindergarten/primary school service (one of the best in Beijing) to 
kid(s) and may provide a one-bedroom apartment on campus up to the availability. 

Important! The fellowship would be matched by the university, which requires that the candidates 
shall receive PhD from world's top 200 universities in less than 3 years ago. For more information and
