Description:
An exciting two-year funded opportunity to work in the field of materials 
processing and use of fluid-structure interaction to understand shear-induced 
deformation using multiscale simulations. The ideal candidate will understand 
complex fluids, fluid-structure interactions, or multiphase flow with good command 
over the program, exposure to open source CFD and FEA codes, and an interest in 
applying CFD methods in materials processing. Accelerated Materials Research Lab 
in Chicago works with University and Argonne National Laboratory on energy, 
environmental, and advanced manufacturing applications. The postdoctoral fellow 
will learn about using lower length scale simulations to predict fluid properties 
and materials processing effort. Use of data analytics and machine learning will 
be needed. Interaction with industry and DoD laboratories are expected in the
