All about the role:
For more than one hundred years now, the Electrolux Group has been working at
shaping living for the better, developing products that meet people’s demands in
terms of taste, care and wellbeing. But as consumer needs and wants to continue
to evolve, we have even more work to do. Our Consumer Experience teams ensure
our company stays at the forefront of innovation, enabling us to keep delivering
outstanding consumer experiences all around the world.
What you’ll do:
As a Simulation CFD Thermoflow Lead, you will be part of a team that drives
digital transformation in developing, structuring and integrating the use of
simulations in the product creation process, with the goal to develop better
product at a faster pace, more efficiently and committed to quality for a better
consumer experience. The Simulation Hub team within PT (Product Technology) is
looking for a dynamic, intellectually curious, team-oriented individual to lead
thermo-flow CFD simulation. The Simulation Thermoflow CFD Lead will be driving
global, cross-product areas and cross-function initiatives; the key objectives
are:
developing most advanced and effective thermo-flow CFD technologies and
methodologies;
securing systematic transfer to adoption of validated thermo-flow CFD test
methods in product development;
growing best-in-class competence in thermo-flow simulation CFD within the
simulation community of practices.
In detail, you will:
Manage and drive Technology Roadmap (TRM); ensure TRM contributes and aligns to
business strategy; secure adoption of TRM outputs in product development with
Simulation Adoption leadership.
Oversee entire project portfolio in the Simulations CFD-Thermoflow area.
Identify and setup strategic external partnerships to advance TRM and execution
in adoption in close cooperation with Simulation leadership.
Grow and lead cross-function community in the Simulations CFD-Thermoflow area.
Ensure proper management of simulations quality assurance, projects and
resources for CFD-Thermoflow adoption first time, including developing
guidelines and specifications to expand simulation test books.
Define best CFD application SW tools and use in Electrolux simulation ecosystem
IT infrastructure in close cooperation with Adoption and Ecosystem
infrastructure leadership.
Create, validate and use of thermoflow analysis models (fast, accurate, reliable
and affordable) in product development. Some key focus areas will be on:
Humid air management (eg: evaporation, condensation, icing)
Multi-physics: cooking, cleaning, drying
Particles flows (eg: in air and/or water)
Test and contribute to adopt SPDM (Simulation Product Data Management) in
thermo-flow analysis models (PLM, DOE, optimization and statistical analysis).
Supervise competence team activities, follow-up on resources and budget; may
lead a team.
Manages overall communication and relationship with stakeholders to meet targets
and ensure alignment.
Asses Intellectual Property scenarios and opportunities for protection.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with MSc in thermoflow engineering and PhD is
an appreciated plus.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex technology development projects in
R&D environment.
Externally recognized as best-in-class competence (e.g. IP generated,
international institutions & standardization bodies, published papers).
Demonstrated track-of history in leading people and delivering results (e.g.
value-adding projects, technologies put in production, etc.).
Deep knowledge of simulation tools technologies, market and its evolution (eg:
Siemens-Simcenter STAR-CCM+, Altair-Hyperworks, 3DS-3D experience, Ansys, ESI,
Comsol, others).
CAD, PLM and SPDM kwnoledge and reated tools (eg: 3DS CatiA, Siemens TeamCenter,
3DS 3DX-PLTF, Siemens HEEDS, ESTECO Modefrontier).
Advanced English.
Projects/program management Agile and Waterfall is desirable.
Where you’ll be:
