Dolfyn is a face based implicit Finite Volume Method software suite, employing primitive variables on 3D unstructured polyhedral meshes. The source code written in Fortran95 is released under the Apache License version 2.0. It runs on any platform (including Windows using g95 for example).

Dolfyn optionally outputs to OpenDX, Visit, ParaView and Tecplot.

Examples, downloads and installation instructions are available on dolfyn's home page in Dutch, English and German.

The dolfyn code is based on the ideas, algorithms, and procedures presented in the book by Ferziger, J.H., Peric, M. (2001), Computational Methods for Fluid Dynamics, ISBN 3540420746, 3rd Rev. Ed., Springer, Berlin.
