Please HELP: Postprocessing_LES data

Dear All,

I need some guidance from experts regarding my post processing of LES simulation. I am studying about BL transition phenomenon, for a simple flat plate geometry at a small incidence. I have done simulation with monitor points(lines) and saved data's for every 50time steps. I used Matlab to see the time averaged results. I herewith attached some plots.

1. CF: Skin friction coefficient for monitor points along the inclied plate in different z direction values. I feel the Cf value is bit weird compare to the Blasius solution for laminar and turbulent. Also, it approaches to zero around 0.52m, which I can say is the region of seperation. My question is is the Cf plot is meaningful? How do I conclude with this for transition?

2. Tavg_rms : Here we can see the flow starts fluctuating around 0.45m. so this is the point where it starts to behave has turbulent flow

3. Tavg_rms_x & xvel : RMS x fluctuation & Velocity along X, is plotted against Tangential direction (Y) at different stream wise direction to see the BL growth.

How can I conclude by saying that there is transition, which occurs in the region. The shear stress plot behaves as same as CF plot and I cant come to conclusion with shear stress or cf plot. what are all other values would give me a meaningful result to justify the transition phenomenon.

I would be more happy if someone could help me out. Looking for your valuable comments.

Kind Regards,
Kumar
