Lid driven cavity flow

For the classic lid driven cavity flow - laminar flow - I first modeled the lid as a moving wall boundary, which gave quite good results & convergence rate.

Now I am trying to vary the lid speed, which is not possible in FLUENT, so I changed the lid to a velocity boundary specifying the 3 velocity components and found it takes a really long time to converge, and the results are different.

Can somebody explain why there is such big difference for the flow inside cavity (Re=100), the above two ways of modeling should give the same results??

Could you tell me the results after your studying? I mean if you compare the results after you improve the speed of lids what is happening?

Because I will start to do the experimental work of it..
