need tutorial files(Simulation of Wave Generation in a Tank)
hello
i downloaded files of this tutorial from fluent.com but they are compatible with 6.3.28 and my solver is 6.3.21,could anybody please send me files of this tutorial(Simulation of Wave Generation in a Tank) that are older and are compatible with 6.3.21? thanks |
Why do you say they are incompatible with 6.3 version? As the tutorial was made for 6.2, and as far as I remember I did it with the same version of fluent.
|
hi
i have this problem too the error said its for fluent 6.3.28 i have 6.3.26 |
even i am facing the same problem. can someone please help out.
|
the same problem...
I've the same problem of yours!!
I think the simulation of wave generation in tank compatible for 6.3 version only. and it can run by 6.3.26. Ver 6.3.21 is demo version. because i cannot find the 6.3.28 program on the net. I have heard that the latest ver of FLUENT 12. Maybe it can work on this too!!:p |
I am currently using ver 6.3.26 but it doesnt work in it. I guess it works only on 6.3.28 . A kind request to all the masters, to kindly design and create a mesh files for us noobs! Thanks in advance!

Does it say it'S incompatible when you try to load the Libudf file? |
libudf... It means you need to recompile the source code according to your processor architecture and what operational system you are using. libudf is defined most likely as C file. There are also already compiled files, but what I see it means the original C file needs to be recompiled using fluent build in compiler. Try to look in Fluent documentation, it is pretty well explained.

Dear: trontoan2008
Can U tell me, what series Fluent software do you have? Cos not all libudf can be used. Most of them we must build by C++ software. |
Hi Freeday,
I am using Fluent V6.3.26 s/w. I think If we have udf file, we can build it in Fluent based on C++ s/w. So, if you have this udf, please send to me. I appriciate your helping. Best regards, Quote:

Dear Inokoshiai,
Thank you for ask me to help your obstacles. But, I'm really sorry because the source is confidential. You need doctor level to make your own source. I think you could ask your professor to make it. Regards, freedy http://www.linkedin.com/pub/defri-sumarwan/2b/a5/7b4 |

Get time plot for history of wave elevation of a determine point in NWT
Dear friends
I m working with fluent 6.3 ,I modelled a wave tank in fluent, it modelled successfuly and I want to get time plot about the history of wave elevation at a specified point for example x=7.5,y=0.5 (in fluent I accentuate this matter again) in a wave tank with these dimensions: L=15m, H=0.8m for a detemined time domain which is smaller than wave tank modeling time domain. if any friend know, please guide me and give me the tips and tricks about it. With kind regards. |
