Hello mate, you have to make another TUI journal file.

Start Fluent in TUI mode:

"fluent 2ddp -g -i"

Then:

"file"
"start-journal"

It will ask you to confirm the name of the journal file and it will start recording.

When you finished go to:

"file"
"stop-journal"

Hope this helps.

Hi Krish, thanks for your reply.
I have tried what you have mentioned. And I find that the journal will be recorded in TUI model only when I operate FLUENT through text command prompt window in TUI model. If I operate FLUENT through GUI, the journal will be GUI format which every sentence has a prefix of "cx-gui-do".

MY question is :
How could I get the TUI journal when I operate FLUENT throuhg GUI?
I am not familiar with Text command, but I wanna a journal with text command.

thanks very much.

Hello mate, your right, a TUI journal will only work in TUI mode and vice versa.

I have no idea how you would convert one to the other.

I came across this problem and just changed over to TUI mode. Its exactly the same just without a GUI interface.

What I did was write down each step I took and then just worked from TUI mode.

If your familiar with how to setup your model, you don't even need to write the steps.

Someone might know if there is a way to convert journals from TUI to GUI but I was unable to find anything.

Good luck

Krish

Hi there, just record a journal but do all of the setup using tui commands. Don't worry if u get things a bit wrong. At the end just open the recorded Jou file in a text editor and delete any GUI commands and mistakes to clean your file up.

It seems the unique method of recording TUI journal is to operate FLUENT using TUI commands.

Thanks for help.
