refine unstructured mesh

any body know about how to refine unstrurd mesh in gambit at particular location

Re: refine unstructured mesh

As far as I know this is not possible

Re: refine unstructured mesh

I refine mesh by generating volume base base on surface mesh and surface mesh on line mesh. We can define the mesh density on line mesh.

is there any method that we refine at particular location

Re: refine unstructured mesh

It is possible to refine the mesh in Gambit. All what you will do is to create another voulme just in where you want to refine and then split the original volume ( use connected option ) using this new volume. Therefore, mesh the small volume first with fine mesh and then mesh the rest of the domain. Export it to Fluent and ENJOY YOUR TIME:)..Good Luck
