timeActivatedExplicitCellSource howto

Dear Foamers,

I was trying to set up a scalar point source to scalarTransportFoam and I found timeActivatedExplicitCellSource which seems to be the perfect tool, but I cannot figure out exactly how to use it. Does someone have experience, or is it used in some of the tutorials? Should I use a cellSetDict to define?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Not sure about timeActivatedExplicitCellSource, but it seems to be similar to timeActivatedExplicitMulticomponentPointSource, which is used in tutorials/lagrangian/porousExplicitSourceReactingParcelFoam solver. There is a tutorial "filter"; you might look there and the source code for this solver. I just started raking through it myself. I suspect that the approach used in this solver and tutorial is described in the thesis http://powerlab.fsb.hr/ped/kturbo/op...olmPhD2008.pdf. Pls correct if I'm wrong, because these explicit sources are important to me too.

(The above apply to OF version 1.6 that I have; I don't know if these are included in other versions.)

Hi, I'm also having OF1.6 and I have also found this filter tutorial, but meanwhile I created a turbulent transport equation with a source term which seems to be working with a new source variable. I havent tested much yet though. The equation is very simple and it is not coupled but I dont need that so far, if this is enough for you I can send it.
