Temperature limited to problem.
 

Hi everyone,
I am simulating a pipe flow system with inlet temperature and mass flow water with properties changing with temperature. I have made udf for properties. Pipe have a central rod in it where it is generating a constant heat flux in the inner boundary wall of rod. Flow is flowing with a constant pressure of 25 MPa..
When I start the calculations, after 10-15 iterations it is showing temperature limited to..problem with higher limit to some cells and lower limit to some cells... I am monitoring the volume average temperatures of rod. It is increasing and not remain constant.. The other residuals are converged. In post processing the temperature profile of rod is very absurd, with high values of temperature upto 1000 deg Celsius, while it should be around 450-500 deg Celsius. What should I do??

Check your material properties and inlet/outlet flows and temps and energy balances.

Try using standard constant property water to see if material properties are incorrect.

Did you try to run the simulation without UDF?
