Temperature Limit for Cooling System
I am currently running a simulation with a chilling coil in an inlet cooling system. I simplified the chilling coil as a combination of heat generator(negative value) and resistance.
Problem arises at low speed areas where the air can be as low as -30 degrees. This is certainly not the case in real life. I wonder if anyone has experience setting temperature limit in the heat exchange simulation? or are there any other models that suit my case better? Really appreciate the help! Ryan |
Are you simply using a resistance with a negative heat gen? Or the Heat Exchanger material?

Yes, the are really designed to be used externally. If you use them internally, you need to use a flag to be sure that the inlet and outlet flow rates are consistent with one another.
Check this out: Heat Exchanger Mass Balance I tend to just use a resistance but it depends on the goal. |
