Detailed Chemical reaction over combustion model
i am doing duel fuel (hydrogen-diesel) simulation. i have done training course in AVL Fire (2014.2) there i was informed that i cannot use any combustion model for simulation of pure duel-fuel (energy share less then 90% by gas) so i used detailed chemical gas phase reaction for simulation. now i have couple of questions
1) without activating combustion how can i get phi-t graphs. 2) i want to emphasize on why i have to use detailed gas phase reaction over combustion models in my project thesis so where can i get advantaged of gas phase reaction over combustion model (any combustion model available in avl fire). |
With GGPR model Equivalence Ratio is not defined in the solver. You could write formula to create a derived variable based on fuel and O2 species mass fractions.
If you are looking for Equivalence Ratio which is not consumed by combustion ( similar to mixture fraction) then you need use additional passive scalar and user function to calculate equivalence ratio. |
