how to define the porosity
I use the following command to define the porosity, but the system keep the porosity to be 0. how to deal with the problem. ctab,4,solid,7,0.1,4,1,1,1,0,off,0,light ctname,4,soil
MESH*> ctab,4,solid,7,0.1,4,1,1,1,0,off,0,light CELL TABLE NUMBER 4 IS SOLI NAME = soil COLOR INDEX = 7 POROSITY INDEX = 0 MATERIAL NUMBER = 4 SPIN INDEX = 1 GROUP NUMBER = 1 LIGHTING MATERIAL = 1 RADIATION = OFF CONDUCTION THICKNESS = 0.000000 INITIAL FREE SURFACE MATERIAL IS LIGHT MESH*> ctname,4,soil NAME OF CELL TABLE 4 IS soil |
Re: how to define the porosity
you can't have a solid that is porous. change your cell type to fluid

Re: how to define the porosity
dear allan, when I change the command, the same problem happend, how can deal with it? ctab,4,fluid,7,0.5,4,1,1,1,0,off,0,light CELL TABLE NUMBER 4 IS FLUI
NAME = soil COLOR INDEX = 7 POROSITY INDEX = 0 MATERIAL NUMBER = 4 SPIN INDEX = 1 GROUP NUMBER = 1 LIGHTING MATERIAL = 1 RADIATION = OFF CONDUCTION THICKNESS = 0.000000 INITIAL FREE SURFACE MATERIAL IS LIGHT MESH*> ctname,4,soil NAME OF CELL TABLE 4 IS soil |
Re: how to define the porosity
by Jove !!
you have to give a porosity index 1 in your ctab then you have to define the porosity 1 under thermophysical models (resitstance ..) you have to suply alpha and betas then it should work it is described in the tutorials ! |
Re: how to define the porosity
