Cfx solver manager: How to set correct y-axis value of pressure in monitor graph.

Hi all,

I set the total pressure monitor at inlet to monitor my solution during run in cfx solver manager.

I set 1.4MPa total pressure at inlet but the graph is showing 0MPa. I don't know how to fix y-axis of graph? Picture is attached.

I know its basic question but I am a beginner. It is very important for me. Please help if anyone know....

thanks

Please show your inlet condition and expression for monitor.

Hi antanas,

- My initial condition at inlet set to total pressure 1.4MPa with total temp 550 deg Centigrade.

- Fluid model set to Total energy.(supersonic flow)

- Expression for pressure monitor at inlet

= areaAve(Total Pressure)@inlet

Please suggest.

Thanks

OK. Please post screenshots of your domain basic settings tab, your inlet boundary details tab and your initialization or post CCL file.

Hi Mfaizan
In your screen shot it is not 0 MPa.Please click your cursor on the Monitor line to get the actual value.
You can adjust your monitor point range by right click on the solver window -> Monitor properties ->Range settings ->adjust Lower bound & Upper bound Value.

Yes I think this is because of initial pressure and reference pressure values. So it seems that it is zero.

dear bharat,

thanks a lot for your assistance.

Yes after changing range I saw the 1.4MPa value but it I am still confused that with constant 1.4MPa total pressure boundary condition at inlet why this large negative value of pressure is appearing in the model. I checked the lowest value by putting my cursor on the monitor and it is showing -1.7e7. This is crazy. If you can assist then please explain this.

One more question that how can I change the X-axis settings of the pressure monitor tab.

Please reply.

When the simulation is partially converged the results can show anything. Don't worry about crazy intermediate results - the final converged solution is all that matters.
