Deformation meshes

Hi everybody,

Currently I am starting to work on deformation meshes, especially simulation to predict the piston movement in an internal combustion engine (IC Engine). But I do not know how I start this simulation. Currently I am using Fluent V5.3. Can this version simulate this piston movement?

I hope there are persons who can assist me in solving this problem. Thanx.

This version cann't solve deforming meshes problem, Fluent 4 or Fluent 6 can do.

Hi Satyo,

You can find a tutorial example in latest version of Fluent which deals with IC engine simulation.Hope this helps you.
