Modelling combustion (3D VS 2D)
Hi,
I've already sent a mail about a trouble to model a propergol combustion in a chamber. I mean I modeled this case with a pressure inlet BC. First, I had a mesh which gave me a straight temperature evolution along the revolution axis of the pressure inlet BC section. Then, I tried to model in a 2D case with a 2d axisymetric case. I reached the same results (no really decreasing of temperature gases along the axis (the pressure inlet BC section is 0.050 m diameter, and I do not have temperature decreasing 20 m away from the inlet BC !. But I was not satisfied of this results, that is why I modeled a new 3D case with a better size function, and here I got a decrease at 2,50 m from the inlet. I do believe the last modelling results are better, but someone could give me his feeling about this...(realistic phenomenum, not able to reproduce a 2D case...) Many thanks Christophe |
