discretization of momentum equation in 2D laminar channel flow

Hi all,

I am tiring to solve a 2D laminar channel flow with FDM. I discretized the momentum equation in x and y direction and also I wrote the matlab code and it works. now I am wondering to know if there is any possibility to discretize the equation just in x direction and let matlab to do it in y direction or maybe in both direction?

You may be able to make use of MATLAB's pde toolbox rather than explicitly code the discretized momentum and pressure equations.

Hi Could you please tell which method have you used to code.SMAC or projection?
