There are compressible versions of k-w around. You'll have to search for them, as I don't have any references off the top of my head.

Brown, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA AIAA-2002-3308 8th AIAA/ASME Joint Thermophysics and Heat Transfer Conference, St. Louis, Missouri, June 24-26, 2002 You need not couple the model with the mean flow eqs which can speed up the solver by quite a bit. SST model tends to give slightly high heat transfer (10 to 15%) but is quite robust. Remember to validate your implementation against expt. and also Van Driest II. |
