Y+ around a cylinder

2 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone

I'm trying to optimise the mesh in my Fluent model. That is a "flow past cylinder" model. I modelled a half block of the whole simulation domain with defining the symmetry boundary conditions.

I checked the Y+ contour after a transient simulation for the half block model. The solution converged very well (with K-W SST turbulence model). The Y+ contour image is attached. But I'm not sure how I should analyse that.

1- Is it Ok to have Y+ value out of accepted range (30<Y+<60) far from the walls?
2- Is it OK to have Y+ value equal to 0 at the pier wall and symmetry boundaries? If not, how I could increase the Y+ value at the cylinder wall where I need very fine mesh to solve the boundary layer?

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
