RNG k-e model
 

Howdy People:

Many source claimed that the RNG model producing better results when compared against measurement data. However, I came across the following passage from Pope's book on Turbulence (1997 edition, page 383):

"In the RNG k-e model there is also an additional term in the e equation, which is and ad hoc model, not derived from RNG theory. It is this term which is largely responsible for the difference in performance of the standard and RNG models."

My personal experience with RNG has been inconclusive. I am wondering if you have a different observation than what Pope and your truly had.
