from point clouds to surface/volume

Dear all,

I am quite new in cdf. I have a cloud point file which I am able to import to the DesignModeler. I have been trying to use this data to create a surface, eventually a volume, in order to be able to create a big mesh an then do some simulations in FLUENt. Is it possible to achieve this using only ANSYS 12 software? Any ideas?

Thank you for your time,

waters

I posted this a long time ago, but if any interested, points2poly did the job. I found later that there are some matlab/octave scripts that create .stl's from point cloud data.
Once with .stl, snappyhexmesh makes everybody smile.
