Heat Transfer in a Driven Cavity

Hello everyone!

I´m currently working on the heat transfer simulation of various surface geometries with CFX and a few of the geometries agree quite well with the flow one can find in the lid driven cavity. Now the problem is, that the "standard" 2-eq turbulence models in cfx just won't do the trick (i have a few measurements at hand for comparison) and i´ll probably have to change these.

I´m now searching for some papers or advice concerning the heat transfer in such geometries. I was able to find quite some papers concerning only flow or dealing with bouyancy driven flow but i was unable to find any papers concerning forced convection.

I found some things by Ooi et al (1998) and the CFX validation report (200x), but the geometrys don´t agree too well with mine, since their hight/width ratio is 0,1/0,2 and the ones i´m dealing with are in the range of 1-2.

I´d be glad if there were any suggestions or advice on where to go next.

Thanks
Th
