UNIGE February 13th-17th - 2107. OpenFOAM advaced training days

The following courses are offered by wolf dynamics (http://www.wolfdynamics.com) and in collaboration with the University of Genova

================================================== ===========
February 13th - 2017. Introduction to geometry generation using Open Source CAD, and mesh generation using OpenFOAM technology.

This training session is dedicated to geometry generation using Open Source/free CAD applications, and mesh generation using OpenFOAM technology. During this session we will address how to use Salome and on-shape for generating clean geometries to be used with OpenFOAM. We will also address how to use snappyHexMesh and cfMesh for generating high quality meshes to be used with OpenFOAM (or any other CFD solver). If you are also interested in optimization, it is highly recommended to follow this training, as we also address how to automatize the CAD-Meshing process.

February 14th - 2017. Design of experiments, space exploration, and numerical optimization using DAKOTA and OpenFOAM.

This training session is dedicated to design space exploration and design optimization using DAKOTA. During this session we will address how to use DAKOTA as a general purpose optimizer. We will also address how to couple DAKOTA to OpenFOAM (or any general CFD solver), to create an optimization loop comprising automatic geometry-mesh generation and solution parametrization. We will also address how to use python for doing data analytics.
