joegi.geo is on a distinguished road
The following courses are offered by wolf dynamics (http://www.wolfdynamics.com) and in collaboration with the University of Genova

================================================== ===========
February 13th - 2017. Introduction to geometry generation using Open Source CAD, and mesh generation using OpenFOAM technology.

This training session is dedicated to geometry generation using Open Source/free CAD applications, and mesh generation using OpenFOAM technology. During this session we will address how to use Salome and on-shape for generating clean geometries to be used with OpenFOAM. We will also address how to use snappyHexMesh and cfMesh for generating high quality meshes to be used with OpenFOAM (or any other CFD solver). If you are also interested in optimization, it is highly recommended to follow this training, as we also address how to automatize the CAD-Meshing process.

February 14th - 2017. Design of experiments, space exploration, and numerical optimization using DAKOTA and OpenFOAM.

This training session is dedicated to design space exploration and design optimization using DAKOTA. During this session we will address how to use DAKOTA as a general purpose optimizer. We will also address how to couple DAKOTA to OpenFOAM (or any general CFD solver), to create an optimization loop comprising automatic geometry-mesh generation and solution parametrization. We will also address how to use python for doing data analytics.

February 15th - 2017. Advanced simulation days. Turbulence modeling

During this advanced simulation day, we will address turbulence modeling using OpenFOAM. The following topics will be covered: general introduction to turbulence and theoretical background, RANS/LES/DES modelling approaches in OpenFOAM, estimating y-plus value, wall functions and near wall modelling, setting boundary conditions and initial conditions, choosing the right numerics, best practices and validation cases.

February 16th - 2017. Advanced simulation days. Multiphase flows modeling

During this advanced simulation day, we will address multiphase flows modelingusing OpenFOAM. The following topics will be covered: general introduction to multiphase flows and theoretical background, multiphase models in OpenFOAM, VOF solvers in OpenFOAM, Euler-Euler solvers in OpenFOAM, Lagrangian solvers in OpenFOAM, setting boundary conditions and initial conditions, choosing the right numerics, best practices and validation cases.

February 17th - 2017. Advanced simulation days. OpenFOAM for Naval applications

During this advanced simulation day, we will use OpenFOAM as general CFD solver for naval applications. The following topics will be covered: general introduction to ship resistance and propeller performance, setting boundary conditions and initial conditions, choosing the right numerics, solution monitoring, post-processing, design table to performance curves, best practices and validation cases.
