Calculation of thrust and torque for propeller with preview

hi Brothers and sisters

I saw a dream -Dream no it is a nightmare- I am in the middle of a vortex.
I'm turning around.I will not enter or leave. It seemed as if I stuck at the time

I asked my question several times but answer...if If you see that greet me
AMI - pimpleDyMfoam
can you tell me how i Calculation of thrust and torque for propeller with preview??
if you can please help me.

in this post someone asked the same question, all be it doing so at run time. I would use the same method and do one extra iteration of computation so that it will calculate it.

thank you my friend

i have other question.(AMI.propeller.pimpleDyMFoam.number node 2600000)
(Structure mesh is for 1700000 .I don't have picture Structure mesh for 2600000 now.sorry)

contour Q=5000 for mesh 2600000.
what's wrong??mesh?
thanx

What do you mean by what's wrong? What are you expecting vs what's happening?

Thank you for your answer
yambanshee ,
Q contour must be continuous(Like this picture ) but The same as you see(Previous image) that not continuous.

Thank you dear Zander

Hi Sajjad,

Play with the Q value, now you have 5000, try to change the value and see what happens. You can also give multiple values of Q in the dialogue box.

hi kanaada

thank you for ripely
with change Q It does not differ much. What do you think؟؟mesh??
I do not have a high processing computer. So I can not try the Tiny mesh.

thank you bro

Have you by any chance been able to monitor the convergence of a physical property, such as the torque? It could be that the simulation has not fully converged yet. I'm finding that my axial fan simulations take a very long time to fully form the swirl profile at the downstream side

thank you.
OK. I keep running program . I'll triple it end time.I will tell you the result.

thanx
sajad.

Hi Sajad,

I also have the similar problem of computational limitation. Have you tried running q-criteria parallel on your local PC, I tried mpirun -np CPUs pvserver -parallel, it didn't work on my local computer and q-criteria consumes a lot of time as cell density increases.

hello
I'm sorry. I misunderstood.
my work no different parallel processing with no parallel.
thank you

hello
that worked.Thank you.
"very long time" Horror phrase but worked. Almost three times End time ,Q converged.
thanx.

I think the reason why you did not get any answer is because no one understands your question. Is your question just simply how to calculate thrust and torque for propeller?

Extract block surface --> Generate normal surface --> calculate force --> integrate value

[Moderator note: this post was originally posted on a duplicate thread that didn't have any answer before this one at the ParaView forum, so it was moved to here, along with the post below.]

I am sorry for that.you're right .
thank you for answer
