Starting a simulation from a non-zero time with changed boundary conditions

Dear Foamers,

I have base case simulation and want to start a new simulation from the base's steady state but with a section of wall changed to an inlet with a certain strength.

I have searched through the old posts and can find how to change a wall to a patch but not to an inlet.

Any help or guidance will be much appreciated :)

It's super simple:
Open the U file in the directory of the appropriate time instance, and change 'noSlip'/'fixedValue' to whatever boundary conditon you desire. Make sure the simulation is set to start from 'latestTime' in the controlDict.

You know I had never scrolled all the way to the bottom of the U file, I just assumed it was all cell info !

Many, many thanks!
