Starting With A Detonation Wave
Hi OpenFOAM,
I am trying to simulate the combustion of an engine using OpenFOAM in a rotating cylinder using a detonation wave. The detonation wave is supposed to rotate around the cylinder; however, how do I start with the detonation wave then allow it to rotate? Additionally, how am I supposed to calculate Thrust and Mass Flow rate from injectors to calculate specific impulse? My Mesh is below: http://i.imgur.com/8Ce6jKj.png Any help would be appreciated! I am also having a problem with doing a test run without the detonation wave, and I am getting the error
Cannot find patchField entry for Outlet file: /home/robert/OpenFOAM/robert-v1612+/run/tutorials/incompressible/icoFoam/test/0/p.boundaryField from line 18 to line 18. From function void Foam::GeometricField<Type, PatchField, GeoMesh>::Boundary::readField(const Foam::DimensionedField<TypeR, GeoMesh>&, const Foam::dictionary&) [with Type = double; PatchField = Foam::fvPatchField; GeoMesh = Foam::volMesh] in file /home/ubuntu/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-4.1/src/OpenFOAM/lnInclude/GeometricBoundaryField.C at line 191. FOAM exiting I am using reactingParcelFoam. I am trying to simulate a rotational detonation engine. The files are listed below here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kh5wkdsde...im.tar.gz?dl=0 since I cannot upload them as they exceed file size. Any help? |
