.run file & .info file

Hello,

What is the importance of .run file and .info file?

For transient calculations we should have some convergence in each iteration but .run file only shows residuals of some standard parameters on the monitoring cell specified by the user.

So where can I see and monitor the convergence of each iteration of a transient or pseudo transient simulation??

what can we understand and extract from .info file??

Also I want to know what is the importance and relevance of reference pressure and reference temperature on the reference pressure cell as specified under Monitoring and Reference Data (under Thermophysical Models and Properties folder).

What does this do and how does it affect my simulation??

Will be waiting for replies and comments,

Thanks,

Xobile

Re: .run file & .info file

hi,

WHen you do the transient analysis, main controll is timestep.inner iterations or sweeps are specified and convergance for each timestep depends upon number of factor such as number of sweeps, residualtolerance, max corrector stages etc.

For detail study the STARCD theory mannual and refer some books.

in case of compressible flow reference pressure is very important and its location should be at a place where pressure is known. For details refer to STARCD theory mannual and users guide
