Error in moving mesh

While running pmovlink this error is coming..."*** ERROR *** CELL 20641 HAS BOUNDARIES ON BOTH COLLAPSING SIDES 2 AND 1"......Boundary reg are attach reg:2 for valve and reg:1 for cylinder(attach)...How to rectify this kind of error..

Re: Error in moving mesh

You need to change the way you have defined the mesh motion. When you collapse a cell layer, you are "unextruding" it, so it has to be made of cells which could have been created by extrusion (i.e. prism or a hex). The two opposite sides which you are collapsing onto each other cannot both have boundaries on them: this is what the error is telling you.

Re: Error in moving mesh

Hi The mesh which i m using is already made by extrusion from shell. The valve bottom side cells contain two attach boundaries, one for itself and another for suction port.Is it because i m detaching the side boundary attached to the bottom layer of valve bottom side cells? somnath
