    The aim of the summer school is to present a comprehensive series of lectures on problems related to pressure and its role in mathematical analysis and numerical simulation of various types of flows. It is a multidisciplinary event with topics ranging from theoretical and numerical mathematics up to physics and applications. Besides of the course lectures, the program will include a one day workshop (on Wednesday, August 31) dedicated to short, more advanced lectures given by attending scientists.

    Design and operation of modern combustion I.C engines faces the need of combining high efficiency with low pollutants emissions. CFD has become a powerful tool in this sector. Many models exist, each having a range of applicability, computational cost and accuracy. Thus, CFD experts involved in I.C. Engine simulations, given usual CFD skills, need specific insight and knowledge in spray and combustion modelling, in order to conduct thorough analysis. The present course addresses this need.
