Fire Safety - Burning Topic!
Since January 2005, the new standards and guidelines for fire safety are valid in Switzerland. This new standard represents a significant step to improved fire protection in buildings. Concurrently, the elaboration of goal-oriented fire safety measures is gaining importance. It is a pleasure for me to present you the range of AFC services for fire-safety engineering applications from concepts over smoke removal verification by numerical simulation to experimental tests with hot smoke. Also I would like to announce a seminar at the ETH Zurich. The seminar deals with the capabilities and limitations of modern computer simulation methods.
