Hello everyone!
I have a geometry with a table at the center of the room. I want to provide a mesh for this geometry. First I create a block for the hole room, and them a block for the table. But I don't know how can I subtract these two blocks. now ICEM made a mesh for table and for room separably, but I want to consider it as a unite volume. take a look on the figures. is there anyone here who can help me? thanks Last edited by asal; January 22, 2013 at 07:54. |

Yes, this the surface mesh.
But usually we create a block for hole the geometry, then cut it out to delete the part which we don't want to have mesh. But I create two separate block one for room, and one for table, now I want to know how can I create the mesh for the room, just like when we create the geometry for the whole room and cut out the table from the room. Let me to give you a simple Example: I want to know how can I eliminate a part of mesh in my geometry without cutting out the main block for instance I have two Cubic box (above picture). one inside the other. then I create a block for the big one, and another for the small one. when the ICEM ask to merge or replace, I merge them. usually we should cut out the big box block to have a block for the small box and delete this small blocks which is creating by this cutting out process. But by doing this your main block must be cutting to several slice in order to be able to eliminate the small block inside the main block. but I don't want to that. So now I want to provide the mesh between the surface of inner and outer cubic boxes and not cut the big one. Is it possible to do this?I don't want to have a mesh inside the inner box. thanks.
