hello, first of all i want to excuse for my not perfect english.
i want to generate a mesh and a refinement like this:

but i am not clever to use icem. somebody could help me and could give me any steps to accomplish my wok??

It's not the best picture you could upload.
You have to start from the geometry, then, using hexa, apply blocks per each region of your field.

It's plenty of posts here concerning the subject

where do i set the dimension of the single element in icem????
i am not able to compute the mesh in this way with the refinement shown in the figure. how can i compute that????

Hi wave maker,

i suggest you to do the few hexa tutorials comming with ICEM.
Anyway, in icem you cannot set a single element size other than the first cell height of an edge. In edge parameters you can set the spacing.

Creating the desired mesh is very easy. Create your geometry. Then split the short edges into three blocks. Move the edges of the center block to desired postion. Set your cell counts for the blocks. And now, use a handy feature to match spacing from the peripheral blocks to the center block. This feature can be found in the same menu as edge params.
