Hello,

I'm trying to create an unstructured mesh in ICEM 12.0.1 with prism layers at some boundaries. I want to extrude the prisms from a surface mesh and finally fill with a Delauny tetra-mesh.

My first problem relates to the surface orientation of the surface shell elements. When creating the prism layer, the message
"...
shells 32812 and 32812 not consistently oriented
expecting 2 shells on edge 24510 24521 found 1
shells 32831 and 32831 not consistently oriented
expecting 2 shells on edge 24526 24506 found 1
..."
appears. I have already checked and corrected the surface orientations of the geometry and my shell elements, all are now directed outwards. But the message still appears.

However, ICEM produces prism layers. But they are not orientated into my body. I don't understand how to change the marching direction.

The next problem occurs when creating more prism layers, the mesher stops and it says "Error: prism terminated prematurely".

I didn't find any hints that could help me, i hope you can.

Best regards,
Daniel
