Hi!!

I'm new user of ANSYS 14.5 and I meet with the following problem:

-with the Design Modeler I import my .IGS file and I create the surface to work (picture designmodeler.png)

- when I go to create the mesh, the edge in this zone mismatch with the wireframe (picture meshing1.png) with the consequence that the mesh isn't well created in that area (pic meshing2.png).

Anyone know how can I resolve the problem??

Thank you so much.

Hi hamidi! Thanks for your response.

my .IGS geometry consists in one solid which I create a surface from one face of it. I suppress the body and I only work with the surface created which it is what I'm meshing.

I don't know if I'm responding good your question...

dear sergio , whether you goal do make mesh in surface? you used what kind of mesh? please attach image all geometry consist of solid and surface body without supress.

I attached my solid and the surface that I need to work (I only need a 2D analysis).

I used triangles method because the others method, report me errors in this surface.

I think it's no problem with the mesh, the problem is before because it doesn't recognize well the edges when it import in the pass from DesignModeler to Meshing.

yes probable your geometry have a one problem, i drawed one simple model consist of surface body and solid body like your geometry and i have not problem in meshing, unfortunately with image find problem not easy, if your possible put igs format in here, when you used other kind of mesh other than triangle, what error Receive you? i suggested you go in virtual topology and put behavior on high and click generate, whether you done this work?

I attach here the .igs model

https://mega.co.nz/#!fd4SGKJJ!S7hhbA...1m4CyOuV5VrMa8

When I used other type of mesh ansys reports me this errors (attached pics), and when I used a virtual topology this is the result (attached pic).

In any of the ways the error isn't corrected...

dear friend
geometry that you attached only consist of body and any surface body, In any case your geometry is made small faces that this can affecting on Bad quality elements of mesh, you should merge this face smalls and if your problem not solved modified your geometry.
hope it helps
