I'm working on a tube in tube heat exchanger. I have created a geometry and mesh using ICEM but now when I try to read the mesh file in fluent I keep getting this error:

Error1.jpg

Here are pictures of the mesh followed by the quality and highlighted elements.

I am struggling to figure out what is causing this error? I have been told it could be to do with the low quality and should be refined to 0.5+ however I am even struggling to find ways to do this.

I am relatively inexperienced however have completed all ansys tutorials and watched many youtube videos but still finding it very hard to find a way around this error. Help would be much appreciated!

I have done a structured version of this now and have good quality everything seems fine but I still get this error when moving to fluent:

WARNING: Cell 0 of thread 10 is missing face 5.
Cell Centroid is (0.501672, -4.540196, 4.905636).
Clearing partially read grid.
Error: Build Grid: Aborted due to critical error.

Error Object: #f

as per my understanding, your geometry is good enough for structured meshing. try to check 'how to create o-grid' stuff in ICEM tutorials, videos.

AJ

If I remember correctly I think this error was occurring because I had a boundary condition incorrect double check them all, however I think this could be one reason from many for this error
