Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and to CFD. I am doing a project which requires modelling of a ventilated disc brake. I am trying to mesh it in GAMBIT. The geometry can be seen in my first attachment. I am basically trying to mesh the faces around the cooling vane using a mapped mesh as seen in the second attachment. The problem is that when I try to mesh the volume, the mesh appears "draped" or curved, as seen in the third attachment. I am really novice to GAMBIT so could someone please let me know if this means a problematic mesh or is it simply a visual issue? Any help towards rectifying the situation would be greatly appreciated. I have been scratching my head with this for 3 days now and don't know how to proceed. Thank you very much for your time, Stamatis |
