lochie6692 is on a distinguished road
Hi, I am currently trying to optimize a turbine for a wave energy converter for a university project, and trying to decide which program would be best suited for my needs.

I have used other cfd software but feel they may have limitations on this project. I am looking to find the efficiency of a turbine and if possible optimize by number of blade, addition of stator rows ect.
With the other software I was unable to select the turbine to be flowing at a free flowing state under specified air flow conditions. Is this possible with any ansys packages, as without it I feel it will be difficult to find the efficiency?

Also, Is it possible to load solidworks design drawing for analysis in ansys cfd? If possible which version would I need to load Solidworks 2014 files?

Thanks,

Lochie
