Hi all
I simulated SIDI engine with gas injection. but the gas penetration in my simulation is zero. I've searched and understood that gas penetration is related to nozzle pressure difference, gas density, nozzle hole diameter and ga temperature. but I don't know what is the problem . because as I know there is nowhere to define injection pressure.
please help me...
thank u...

How are you modeling gas injection?

You can create separate boundary and specify inlet with fuel fraction of 1.

dear cfdvenkatesh

I'm using pure gas jet submodel. I didn't understand what u said. could u please explain more? actually I think AVL fire can't see the gas fuel penetration. but if you a way for that, I would be happy to hear from u.
thanks...

Hi,
May be I have not understood you problem correctly. I thought are trying to simulate direct inject of gaseous fuel ( H2 / CH4)?

You can send me more detail information to my e-mail id mailforvenkat@yahoo.com

I guess, the pure gas jet model immediately evaporates the droplet to gaseous species. May be it is not transferring the momentum.
