Hi all,

I removed that blog post because now everything is available here: http://holzmann-cfd.de/index.php/en/publications

There it is more clear and straight forward.

If you want to give me some reputation please use that thread for that:

## All about the PIMPLE algorithm - Part II

Posted October 21, 2014 at 17:55 by Tobi
Updated November 4, 2014 at 14:36 by Tobi (Some errors and mistakes)

## Case 3.1 ##

Now we will use the following fvSolution file:
Code:
```PIMPLE
{
nCorrectors            1;
nOuterCorrectors    2;
}```
Compared to Case 2 there is not a big difference. The only difference is that we calculate the pressure - momentum coupling in one time step twice:
1. Calculate momentum
2. Calculate pressure
3. Recalculate momentum from new pressure
4. Recalculate pressure from new momentum
Calculation in OpenFOAM is like:...
## All about the PIMPLE algorithm - Part I
#### Storyboard ####
First I wanted to write a nice story like »Ignaz« but that would only copy the good attention of the author and of course I am not a good story-teller. Therefor I will go directly to the topic and will tell you how the PIMPLE algorithm is working in OpenFOAM, how to set up the keywords and which abilities you have to control the algorithm. The test case it the pitzDaily case in the pimpleFoam folder of incompressible fluids. Only the courant number was decreased...
Dear Community,
I am happy and glad to tell you that I finished to analyze all my cases in the investigation of the "Influence of mesh size, orientation and type on numerical schemes in a convective flow field".
Information
• Investigate into numerical schemes to convective flow field
• Influence of schemes on mesh size
• Influence of schemes on mesh type (structured / unstructured)
• Influence of schemes on mesh/flow orientation (45degree / 0 degree)
## Flamelet Model For OpenFOAM
Posted July 15, 2014 at 09:38 by Tobi
Dear all,
I am working in the topic of the steady state laminar flamelet model since 2012 and used this model in my master thesis for biomass combustion chambers. Therefor I used the built version from Alberto Cuoci et. al. which was generated for OpenFOAM-1.7.x. For my research I used a newer version of OpenFOAM due to the fact of released snappyHexMesh version. Bruno Santos rebuilt the flamelet model for OpenFOAM-1.7.x, 2.0.x, 2.1.x - see here: Bruno Santos Blog about libOpenSMOKE...
