Default Coupling problems II Fixed

After fixing the problem with collapsed faces the following problems are still present:

1) Cell face is in two or more couples with different couple types;

2) Cell in couple is undefined (still;

3) Cells found with negative volume or volume less than specified value.

The first and the last messages I like least of all.

1. can one cell face be coupled with another cell face in two different ways at the same time ? 2. if the cells are not defined, you dont need the couples. 3. are they tirmmed cells or skewed hex cells ?if so, they have to fix them manually.

OK. Thanks to overall help I've fixed all the errors and... got an error that I've fixed already 3 times at least. It claims that I have couple with partial boundaries turned on that contains both fluid and solid cells. I know exactly that I created these couples as arbitrary with partial boundary turned off. It's just impossible!

do this:

cset,news,solid$cpset,news,cset,any$cpdel,cpset$

this will remove all the couples attacthed to the solid.

Julie,

the problem is, star-cd cannot deal with partial boundaries between solids and fluids. but you can only turn off the partial boundary-flag if the faces between solids and fluids are of the same size plus/minus a certain tolerance. if the difference is too high prostar gives you an error-message. the only way to avoid is to ensure a matching of the cell face areas or to leave these regions uncoupled!
