Hi all, I simulate a body that fall down on free surface, and the velocity and acceleration are correct but the pressure is wrong on the body comparing with experiment. BTW, I used the 6dof mode in my sim. Can anyone tell me that what does matter?

I do DFBI simulations myself, I have heard others also experience deviation in pressure estimates. Can you tell more about your case.

Hi werwer:

i made a wedge that free-fall down into water from air.

The bottom boundary is "inlet", the top boundary is "pressure outlet".

The boundary of wedge is wall.

Others are symmetry.

I used 6dof motion to do this.

As i said, the velocity and acceleration are correct, but when the wedge impacted, the pressure of wedge is incorrect.

What does matter with my simulation?

Could you provide more detail information? What is the difference of pressure on the body comparing the experiment and simulation? BTW, the big variation happens before the impact moment, after the impact moment or all simulated time?
